Definitely not Your Finest Hour

Dear Avery,

Last night was pretty rough.  You were throwing a temper tantrum for no reason.  I recorded you while you were doing it and played it back for you.  The funny thing is you were even shocked at your behavior.

Dogs!

Dear Avery,

You started learning how to say 'Dog' at about 1yr and 8 months. Do you know how to say 'Dog' in many languages! You can say 'dog', 'ma', and 'goh'.

Every morning when I drive you to grandma's house, we always see someone walking their dog and I would always point it out to you. When you look and see it, you get soooo excited and say, "dog, dog, dog!".

So one weekend we took you to visit Poki Pok. You had sooo much fun playing with him! Here are two videos:

You're giving Poki a snack:

I can't wait to take you back to visit him again! You had sooo much fun! I have to admit, I was a little afraid Poki was going to bite you.

Love,
Daddy

Your Actual First Step

Dear Aves,

You learned how to walk down one step by yourself without support a few weeks ago (Sep 2011, you are about 1 and 9 months).  You did this non stop for about twenty minutes.

I love that you need a running stop....

Your First Jamba Juice

Dear Aves,

This is your first Jamba Juice. You wouldn't give it back to daddy.

First Time in the Pool, Face Plant

Dear Aves,

I know this is all out of order, this video is as Summer of 2011, you are one and a half.  We took you to the pool for the first time.  It took you a long time to let go of dad, but finally you got comfortable, until this happened...

Sorry baby!  You still don't like the pool very much.

Maybe someday.

Love,
Mom

Whistle While you Work

Dear Avery,

You love your new whistle.  You keep covering the holes, but you're getting the hang of it.

Love,
Mom
