Last night was pretty rough. You were throwing a temper tantrum for no reason. I recorded you while you were doing it and played it back for you. The funny thing is you were even shocked at your behavior.
You started learning how to say 'Dog' at about 1yr and 8 months. Do you know how to say 'Dog' in many languages! You can say 'dog', 'ma', and 'goh'.
Every morning when I drive you to grandma's house, we always see someone walking their dog and I would always point it out to you. When you look and see it, you get soooo excited and say, "dog, dog, dog!".
So one weekend we took you to visit Poki Pok. You had sooo much fun playing with him! Here are two videos:
You're giving Poki a snack:
I can't wait to take you back to visit him again! You had sooo much fun! I have to admit, I was a little afraid Poki was going to bite you.
You learned how to walk down one step by yourself without support a few weeks ago (Sep 2011, you are about 1 and 9 months). You did this non stop for about twenty minutes.
I know this is all out of order, this video is as Summer of 2011, you are one and a half. We took you to the pool for the first time. It took you a long time to let go of dad, but finally you got comfortable, until this happened...
Sorry baby! You still don't like the pool very much.
You are growing up so fast, I feel like I've started these letters too late, but I guess it's better late than never. You are around one year and nine months right now. The first year was rough but great. It was hard for us to adjust to your schedule and learn everything, but it has been a labor of love. Right now you're sitting on the potty, playing with the IPad (you really do love that thing). It's the only way we can get you to sit on the potty for more than five minutes. I wonder when you are ever going to learn to "peepee" in the potty by yourself. I know the time will come and I have to be patient. That is one thing that I'm learning every day with you. Patience.
